Patrick G. Heaney
PATRICK G. HEANEY joined our legal team following bar admission in 2008. In 2011 he was promoted to shareholder. Above all else, Pat is a trial lawyer. Whether it be a personal injury, insurance, construction, business, or real estate dispute, Pat has the experience and skills to see the matter through to the end. His motto is: “work harder than the other side.”
He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Business Administration degree and History minor. He then worked in sales and management (and a stint as a historical re-enactor portraying a French-Canadian voyageur) before pursuing his law degree at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. While attending St. Thomas he was an Associate Editor and later Articles Editor for the University of St. Thomas Law Journal. He also received the Dean’s Award for legal research and writing.
Pat has handled approximately 40 trials all over Northern and Northwest Wisconsin. He enjoys appeals as well and has successfully pursued appeals all the way up to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Barron County Bar and was admitted to practice in all Wisconsin State Courts and the Federal District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. He has served on Wisconsin Defense Counsel’s Board of Directors and has been recognized multiple times as a Rising Star and Super Lawyer. In 2016 he won the Wisconsin Defense Counsel Advocate of the Year award for his consistent jury trial success. Pat has many insurance company clients, but he also represents injured people as well. This gives him a unique perspective.
When not in the office or in court, Pat enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, and traveling with his family.
